A call is being put out to fill many positions for the new Battlefords Treatment Centre, run by Poundmaker’s Lodge, that’s opening in North Battleford.

The facility is to be located at the site of the former Drumming Hill Youth Centre on Hereford St. The centre is expected to open for addictions treatment in the spring of 2024. The new facility will add 14 spaces once it begins operations.

Organizers plan to hold a job fair on Jan. 25 at the Gold Eagle Lodge in North Battleford to fill various positions for the new facility. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and also includes a number of information sessions.

Battlefords Treatment Centre is looking to fill the following positions: Operational Director, Intake Coordinator, Accounting/Payroll, Counsellors, Administration/Reception, Cooks, Kitchen Leads, LPN, Healthcare Aid, Janitorial, Cultural Elder, and Cultural Helper, as well as openings for other roles.

The organization said prospective candidates should bring their resume, criminal background and vulnerable sector checks with them. They are also invited to participate in an onsite interview.

If people can’t attend, they can go to another one at the Holiday Inn Saskatoon Downtown on Jan. 23, also happening from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
