Pack the Patrol Unit rakes in donations for humane society

This Christmas, the cats and dogs of the Battlefords will have something to purr and wag about as the annual Pack the Patrol Unit fundraiser raised $2,070 and 3,100 pounds of food for the Battlefords Humane Society.
According to a news release, the annual event saw North Battleford Community Safety Officers (CSO) joined by volunteers from Citizens on Patrol and the humane society at PetValu, Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire, No Frills and Walmart where art displays from participating schools Lawrence Elementary School, St. Mary School, École Monseigneur Blaise Morand, Holy Family School, McKitrick Elementary School, and Bready Elementary School were a bonus attraction.
The event is scheduled to take place next year with a tentative schedule of December 6.
