Provincial-wide emergency alert cancelled, issued by error

The emergency alert issued across the province for the Town of Maple Creek has been cancelled.

That’s according to the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA).

The situation has since been downgraded to an advisory alert specifically for people in the southwest community.

The SPSA didn’t say exactly why the emergency alert was issued, only that multiple organizations including local jurisdictions can issue them.
