Oct 31, 2023 | 2:34 PM

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes are asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted for a charge of manslaughter.

On March 13, 2022, at around 2:45 a.m. Battlefords RCMP responded to a request for police assistance at a home on the 1600 block of 102 Street in North Battleford. When they arrived, police found a 61-year-old man deceased inside the home. His death was being investigated as suspicious.

After investigating, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit charged Nolan Bird, 34, from Saskatoon, with manslaughter, in the death of David Lapointe.

A warrant was issued for the accused’s arrest. Major Crimes Unit investigators are working to locate him.

Bird is described as about 5-7 and 170 pounds., with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his neck and under one eye.

Police say Bird may be in the Saskatoon, Battlefords or Edmonton area, but this can’t be confirmed.

If anyone sees Bird, they are asked not to approach him. Instead, they should contact their local police detachment or Crime Stoppers .
