Youth arrested after report of machete in North Battleford
Battlefords RCMP are investigating after a youth was reported to have a machete in North Battleford.
On Oct. 23 at about 3:30 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a male youth armed with a knife on a school property on 110 Street.
Officers immediately responded. No injuries were reported to police. A male youth was arrested at the location.
As a result of the investigation, the 17-year-old, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Dec. 14.
