Special teams woes continue in Stars’ 8-4 loss in Yorkton
For the second straight game, special teams play proved to be the Achilles’ heel for the Battlefords North Stars, as the team fell 8-4 in Yorkton, Thursday.
Just a game after allowing four power play goals against in Kinderlsey, the Stars allowed another three to the Terriers – and still one more shorthanded – to fall to 1-2-0 this season.
On a positive note, the North Stars did see four different goal scorers pitch in once again on the night, to give them 11 different goal scorers through their first three games.
Matthew Biros scored his first career SJHL goal, while returning forwards Jackson Allan, Marshall Light and Kobie Anderson also added their first of the new season, and goalie Joey Hawco stopped 25/33 shots on the night.
