RCMP confirm human remains found at scene of house fire

Meadow Lake RCMP made a grisly discovery this week as human remains were found at the scene of a house fire.

The initial report of the fire came to RCMP on Wednesday, at 4:23 p.m. The home was approximately 45 kilometres southeast of Meadow Lake.

When officers arrived, the fire was already extinguished and the remains were found during the subsequent investigation.

Investigators are currently working in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service to determine the identity of the individual.
