There is an update on the robbery and shooting that happened earlier this month near Prince Albert’s St. Mary High School.

Police have charged three people following the incident on Sept. 8 near St. Mary High School.

According to police, one person was approached by two unknown men who demanded they hand over their property.

One of the suspects used a small calibre gun to shoot the victim and both suspects then fled, one on foot and the other riding a bike.

The victim of the armed robbery was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A notification to parents of students at the high school has confirmed that the victim was a visitor to the school’s senior boys’ volleyball tournament, happening that weekend.

On Thursday, police confirmed that they have arrested 20-year-old Michael Fourstar and 28-year-old Jonathan Napope and charged them with robbery with a firearm, discharge a firearm with intent to endanger a life, and possession of a firearm.

Police are still looking for a third suspect, Skylar Halkett, 19, on the same charges.

At this time, investigators do not believe this incident is related to a shooting that was reported on Sept. 13.

Anyone with information on these incidents or the whereabouts of Halkett is asked to contact Prince Albert Police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
