Kilo finds kilos of cocaine near Maidstone

Along with over $11,000 in cash found by RCMP, police dog Kilo sniffed out 1.5 kilograms of cocaine in a vehicle near Maidstone.

The Roving Traffic Unit pulled over a vehicle with no passengers on Highway 16 earlier this week.

Officers decided to have Kilo sniff around the outside of the vehicle, where he indicated he had found something.

The vehicle was searched with officers finding $11,415 in Canadian currency, a baton and brass knuckles.

A 34-year-old man from Saskatoon is charged with trafficking, having the proceeds of crime along with two weapons-related charges.
