The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes unit has identified and charged two people involved in the death of Teddy Whitehead, which police can confirm was a homicide.

After continued investigation, police issued arrest warrants for 32-year-old Nathaniel Sakebow and 35-year-old Chase Cardinal and charged both with manslaughter.

On Wednesday morning, Cardinal was arrested by police without incident in Spiritwood and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Thursday.

Whitehead was killed after an alleged assault at a home on Witchekan Lake First Nation on July 17.

Sakebow is still at large and is described as standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 235 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nathaniel Sakebow is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
