Inquest announced into death of woman transported to hospital by Battlefords RCMP
A coroner’s inquest has been announced into the death of a woman who was taken to hospital by Battlefords RCMP in 2021.
Jilissa Nighttraveller (Napachit), 30, was found unresponsive in a bathroom at the Battlefords Union Hospital on March 24, 2021, after being transferred there that same day by the Battlefords RCMP.
According to a news release, hospital staff responded and lifesaving attempts were made, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and Nighttraveller was pronounced deceased.
The inquest will take place July 24 to 28 at the Tropical Inn in North Battleford, with Coroner Robert Kennedy presiding. The first day of the inquest is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
