RCMP ask for help following attempted abduction in North Battleford

Police are looking for help from the public following a report of an attempted abduction in North Battleford.

Between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, a teenaged girl was walking down 110^th Street near St. Laurent Drive, when a man in a black Mazda CX5 SUV called out to her and asked if she wanted money.

The girl continued walking. Near the 1300 block of 110^th Street, the man in the SUV attempted to grab her. The teen then ran for help, and the SUV drove away.

The suspect is described as an older Caucasian man, approximately 5- foot-6 with grey, balding hair and a white beard.

North Battleford RCMP are asking parents to ask youth to exercise caution if approached by strangers in a vehicle. If anyone sees this vehicle, police advise to not approach it, and report it immediately.
