Battlefords Art Club plan ‘Summer Sizzler’ show and sale

The Battlefords Art Club is looking forward to holding its ‘Summer Sizzler’ Show and Sale.

The event will take place June 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and June 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford.

This is the first event the club has held since the start of the pandemic, so the members are excited to show their work.

Close to 20 Battlefords and surrounding area artists who are in the club will be featured in the show. Their art has been created using a variety of styles and mediums, including ink, acrylics, and resin. Crafted jewelry and various art cards will also be available at the show.

The artists will also be in attendance on both days to meet visitors and show their work.

Art Club member Jean Dunn, who will also participate, said people can expect to see plenty of new work by the artists for this event.

“There will be 15 tables of art,” she said, adding that the art will be on display throughout the gallery as well for the show.

“We haven’t had [a show] with the art club for a couple of years now, so this will be exciting.”

The art club is renting the gallery space for this special show and sale.

The event is free to attend.

“We want to showcase the incredible talent of the Battlefords Art Club,” said Linda Hauk, the club’s president. “No better way than to put our membership front and centre, displaying the art that makes them each so unique.”
