RCMP investigating suspicious death on Moosomin First Nation

RCMP are investigating what they’re calling a suspicious death on Moosomin First Nation.

On Sunday morning around 5:45 a.m. Battlefords RCMP received a report of a sudden death in an outdoor area on the First Nation.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man, who was declared deceased by paramedics.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took carriage of the investigation into the male’s death, which is considered suspicious in nature.

He has since been identified as 35-year-old Tyler Mooswa from Moosomin First Nation. His family has been notified and victim services offered to them.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate, and residents of Moosomin First Nation may notice an increased police presence in the community.

Investigators are asking anyone who has information about Tyler Mooswa’s death, or who saw or had contact with him during the late evening of June 3 or early morning of June 4, to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
