Sask Baseball HoF to celebrate Spring Fling BBQ Supper

Spring has sprung and to celebrate, the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will be holding its 5^th Annual Spring Fling BBQ Supper this Friday, in Battleford.

Taking place at the Battleford Legion Hall, happy hour will begin at 4:30 p.m., with supper to follow from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Jane Shury, President and CEO of the Sask Baseball HoF, said the event is one they look forward to each year as it’s one of the organization’s biggest annual fundraisers, but also because it gives them the chance to reconnect in community, following a long winter.

“We’re celebrating [the start of] spring, and what we do is just have another fun night with a lot of good food,” she said.

“We’ll have barbequed hamburgers, barbequed sausages, salads and dessert, and just a lot of fun and games. Whether people want to play the games, or just come to socialize, we’ll have a bar as well, and would certainly appreciate all the support.”

Tickets to attend the event are $25 and must be purchased in advance, prior to 4 p.m. on Friday.

In addition to the dinner, drinks, and games, there will also be a door prize and raffles available for bidding.

“It’s not a long evening, but it’s a fun evening, so all are welcome to come and we’d be happy to see them there.”
