RCMP searching for answers after human remains found in Big Island Lake Cree Nation landfill

Pierceland RCMP have recovered human remains from the Big Island Lake Cree Nation landfill and are now looking for help to identify them.

Missing people from the area were recently ruled out by a forensic autopsy conducted on Monday, but police are still looking to identify the deceased and get more information.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Historical Case Unit has now taken over the file.
