On April 26, Alex Gopher turned himself in to the Battlefords RCMP detachment.

Battleford RCMP are asking for help finding three people wanted for a violent assault that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man.

Police said the assault happened at a home on Saulteaux First Nation.

When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from serious injuries and immediately began providing first aid. He was taken to a hospital in Saskatoon and four days later, died of his injuries.

He’s since been identified as Quin Squair from Wilkie.

Investigators have since charged five people in relation to the assault and death. Two of them, Riley Gopher and a 17-year-old from Saulteaux First Nation were arrested on Saturday.

Three more suspects are being sought by police: Wionna Katcheech, Alex Gopher, and Colton Swiftwolfe.

Arrest warrants have been issued for the trio and RCMP are asking anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
