Teen charged after police find banned gun and ammo

A North Battleford teen is facing multiple gun charges after RCMP officers found a sawed off rifle, ammunition and gun parts.

Members of the Gang Task Force were on a patrol of the community on April 5 when they saw the youth breaching multiple conditions from previous court hearings.

After a search of the suspect, officers found the weaponry and said the teen is being held for court on the gun charges, as well as a previous arrest warrant.

The teen boy appeared in court this morning on charges that ranged from carrying a concealed weapon, to tampering with a serial number.

He faces seven new charges om total.
