The FFUN Group just announced they are buying Scott Campbell Dodge.

The business will be operating under the new name of FFUN Dodge North Battleford, effective April 5

FFUN has over 30 locations in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario of automotive, recreational, financial and development divisions.

The FFUN Group said they saw an opportunity to expand within Saskatchewan, and are “thrilled to work with an established dealership with a loyal customer base.”

“Scott Campbell Dodge has been a fixture for decades in North Battleford, serving the automotive needs of the area. From outfitting local farmers with dependable trucks to sponsoring dozens of facilities and events, they have lived up their tag: ‘Where friends send their friends,'” the release said.

FFUN Group President and CEO, Mark Loeppky, said they plan to continue to offer customers the high level of service people expect from the dealership.

“Whether it’s a big or small town, we at the FFUN Group want to be part of a community, and provide incredible service, products, and a car-buying experience that is memorable and in-line with what we do at all our dealerships,” he said.

Neil Georget, longtime with the FFUN Group and a North Battleford resident, will take over as the new general manager and dealer partner.

He previously ran FFUN Motor Group’ s Country Ford dealership in Wilkie.

“Neil brings a ton of local experience, and a community mindset through his involvement in numerous charities and associations in the area,” the release said.

“Being part of the FFUN Group has been an incredible experience, both personally and professionally. I look forward to continuing to work with the team here and stay involved in growing this incredible community,” Georget said.

Loeppky noted that when he met with Scott Campbell, the first thing that stood out to him was how the positive values of the FFUN Group and Scott Campbell Dodge aligned.

Scott Campbell owned the Scott Campbell Dodge North Battleford dealership for the past 19 years.

“It’s bittersweet. Coming to this community, and building Scott Campbell Dodge into what it is today has been an absolute joy. But I am happy to have such an incredible, reputable brand like FFUN to continue the mission of this dealership. I am excited for its future and have every confidence that the customers will continue to experience that same level of passion for cars, community and customer service,” he said in a release.

When reached by battlefordsNOW, Scott Campbell said when his managing partner Trent Gatzke announced his plans to retire, Campbell decided it was the right time for him to sell the Scott Campbell Dodge business.

“Instead of acquiring another partner, I decided it was probably a good time to sell,” he said.

Campbell added it wasn’t an easy decision.

“Sometimes it’s nice to go away on your own terms,” he added. “We’re [Scott and his wife Donna] young and we want to enjoy ourselves while we’re still active. It was a tough decision, but I think it was the right decision. And the FFUN Group is an amazing organization. I felt so good about selling to them. Our customers and staff will be taken care of so well. That made the decision easier, knowing it was going to a Saskatchewan company, that understands Saskatchewan, and understands Saskatchewan people.”

Campbell said he will still be involved in North Battleford Hyundai and other dealerships. Looking ahead, he also wants to focus more time on family and possibly do a little traveling as well.

Campbell plans to stay in the Battlefords. He said the Battlefords community has been very loyal to his business at Scott Campbell Dodge over the past close to 20 years, and a good place to live.

“It was a great place to raise our family, and there was great support from the community. It’s been a wonderful experience,” Campbell said.
