RCMP looking for 44-year-old woman not seen for over a month

UPDATE: Cara Rae Weeseekase was located safe by Battlefords RCMP on April 1.

Battlefords RCMP are asking the public for help finding a 44-year-old woman who’s been missing for several weeks.

Cara Rae Weeseekase, who also goes by Cara Bear and Marcella Iron, was last seen at the Beaver Hotel in North Battleford on Feb. 22 at around 6:30 p.m.

She left on foot to go to the casino about 3 km away, but police said she never made it there.

Weeseekase wasn’t reported missing to police until Mar. 30.

She’s described as 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Cara is known to frequent the Meadow Lake area and may also have connections to the Loon Lake area.
