Saskatchewan Parks reservations set to launch April 3

Calling all campers! Campsite reservations open April 3 at Saskatchewan’s provincial parks.

According to Saskatchewan Parks, reservations for seasonal campsites open at 7 a.m. on April 3, but campers looking for a nightly reservation will have to wait a bit longer, as those reservations open between April 4 and April 12.

Reservations can be made online, and the government noted there’s a queuing system in place. To ensure campers get into the line, they were reminded to refresh the page at 7 a.m.

“With only a few days left before reservations open, it’s the perfect time for campers to set up their accounts online and check out all there is to offer in our parks this season,” Laura Ross, Saskatchewan’s minister of parks, culture and sport, said in a statement.

This year, Sask Parks has a new events guide for all of its interpretive programming, special events, theme days and summer cinema locations. That guide can be found online.

The “Camp-Easy yurts” are also back this season, and new yurts are available at Good Spirit Lake, Greenwater Lake and Pike Lake. The yurt at Crooked Lake has also been replaced for the 2023 season, Sask Parks noted.

Here’s the schedule for reserving nightly, Camp-Easy, equestrian and group campsites at various parks, along with picnic shelters, pavilions, rec halls and swimming lessons:

• April 4: Candle Lake, Good Spirit Lake, Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan Landing;
• April 5: Break;
• April 6: Douglas, Echo Valley, Makwa Lake, Narrow Hills, Pike Lake;
• April 10: Danielson, Great Blue Heron, Greenwater Lake, Rowan’s Ravine, The Battlefords;
• April 11: Buffalo Pound, Bronson Forest, Duck Mountain, Moose Mountain; and
• April 12: Blackstrap, Crooked Lake, Cypress Hills, Lac La Ronge.
