Shooting victim has serious injuries

Person shot during break-in attempt in North Battleford

A person in is hospital with what are being called serious injuries after a break-in attempt at a home in North Battleford early this morning.

RCMP learned that three males were trying to get into a home on 107 Street just after 4:00 am.

During the incident, a gun was shot and hit the occupant of the residence.

All three suspects were wearing all black and one may be a youth, about 5-feet-10-inches tall. The other two were adults.

Police said they do not believe there is any elevated threat to the public and continue to investigate with the General Investigation Section and officers from the local detachment.
