Onion Lake woman charged with concealing body of baby

A woman from Onion Lake is facing a charge of concealing the body of a child in an investigation being conducted by RCMP’s Major Crimes Division.
Onion Lake RCMP were told of the sudden death of an infant over a year ago on January 5 and determined that the death should be investigated by the Major Crimes Unit.
With the help of the provincial coroner’s service and the North Battleford Forensic Identification Section, Tashia Turner, age 33, was arrested on March 7 and charged.
She was released from custody and makes her next appearance in Lloydminster Provincial court on April 19.
