Mar 14, 2023 | 4:01 PM

Three people are facing charges in relation to a chain of events last week in the Marsden area.

On March 7, at approximately 12 p.m., RCMP responded to a two vehicle crash on a grid road. Fortunately there were no injuries.

Around the same time, RCMP also received a report of a break-in at a residence in Cut Knife.

The investigation determined the pick-up truck involved in the collision was stolen from the residence, as well as 11 firearms.

Four individuals were later arrested at two separate residences in Marsden. However one was later released without charge.

Search warrants were also executed at the residences and officers seized the 11 firearms reported stolen earlier that day, as well as an ATV, fraudulent documents, credit cards, and a significant amount of power tools and electronics also suspected to be stolen.

All three of the individuals charged are from Marsden.

Joshua Thorne, 29, is charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, possession of the proceeds of crime, mischief under $5,000, and careless storage of a firearm.

Amy Racette, 39, is charged with theft under $5,000, possession of the proceeds of crime, and careless storage of a firearm.

Keesha Rippengal, 28, is charged with one count, break and enter with intent.

Rippengal and Racette are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 4, while Joshua Thorne is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Wednesday.

Cut Knife RCMP continue to investigate and have indicated they will work toward reuniting the recovered items with their potential owners.
