Case for man connected to Battleford attack returns to court
The case for a man who pleaded guilty to an attack caught on video in Battleford was back at North Battleford Provincial Court Monday.
Adam Lesmeister, 46, of Battleford, was originally facing a charge of assault in the July 17, 2022 incident. The charge was since upgraded to assault causing bodily harm.
When he previously appeared in court on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, he entered a guilty plea to the charge.
At court Feb. 13, defence lawyer Randy Kirkham requested to have the sentencing hearing scheduled. Judge Ian William Mokuruk set the hearing for April 27, 2023.
