Warrant out for arrest of 29-year-old man unlawfully at large

Saskatchewan RCMP are looking for Nakota Pooyak, 29, of Sweetgrass First Nation, who is unlawfully at large. Correctional Service Canada (CSC) issued a warrant for Pooyak’s arrest.

Pooyak stands 5-10 and weighs 140 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar near his left eye.

Police believe Pooyak has been on Sweetgrass First Nation recently and he is also known to travel to the Battlefords area though his current whereabouts are unknown.

The CSC initially issued a warrant for two men suspected to be at a Sweetgrass First Nation home.

Adam Semaganis a 21-year-old man from Poundmaker First Nation, was the other man. Semaganis was arrested without incident on Jan. 19.

If you see Nakota Pooyak, do not approach him. Report sightings and information on his whereabouts to your local police service.
