Kian Bell named MVP of the Month for December

It was a month to remember for the Battlefords North Stars and one player in particular.

The stellar play from Kian Bell in December has been noticed by the SJHL who named him the SGEU MVP of the Month on New Year’s Day.

Bell notched 18 points in eight games for the Stars last month highlighted by a five-point night against the Yorkton Terriers on Dec. 15th, where he had three goals and two assists in a 9-6 win.

The 19-year-old leads the SJHL in goals with 28 and also heads into January leading the league in points with 54.

The North Stars still boast the best record in the league with 28 wins and no losses in regulation, good for 59 points in the standings.

They return to action from the Christmas break on Wednesday for a date with the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
