People looking to purchase a unique gift for someone special on their Christmas shopping list will want to visit the “Art Symphony Show and Sale” that continues today in North Battleford.

The event has been running since Friday in the conference room space at the Comfort Inn and Suites, off Carlton Trail. It will wrap up at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Jean M. Dunn, who is involved in organizing the event, said the show features the works of five artists: Kathy Smith, Faye Erickson, Lorraine Voegeli and Dunn from the Battlefords area, and Grace Gerein from Unity.

Erickson is a new participant in the show and sale.

This year marks the second Christmas event the group has put on at the Comfort Inn.

Some of the offerings include decorative cards, ornaments as well as an assortment of paintings and art prints. Many of the pieces focus on nature, wildlife as well as some western themes.

“It’s a good variety,” Dunn said. “Everything is for sale, except for one painting that I know of – that’s the Santa Claus that I did.”

Dunn is encouraging everyone to come to the show and sale, and see if they find something they are interested in taking home. They will also have a chance to meet the artists as well.

“It looks really nice,” Dunn said of the show. “We’ve added a lot of decorations, and it flows very nicely.”
