North Stars headline CJHL rankings for sixth straight week

Nov 30, 2022 | 6:00 PM

For the sixth straight week, and seventh in the last eight, the Battlefords North Stars have retained their title as the top team in Canada with this week’s Canadian Junior Hockey League Top-20 Rankings.

The Stars’ stay atop the national rankings comes despite the postponement of their two games last weekend against La Ronge, as the team will remain undefeated into the turn of the calendar when they will return to action to open December, this weekend.

Rounding out the top five in the CJHL this week are the #2 Brooks Bandits (28-1-1-1) of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, the #3 Cobras de Terrebonne (21-2-0) of the Quebec Junior Hockey League, and #4 Toronto Jr. Canadiens (24-3-1-1) and #5 Collingwood Blues (20-3-0-1) of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

The Stars will play their first two games in two weeks this weekend. The team will host the Global Ag. Risk Solutions Division rival Notre Dame Hounds Friday night at the Access Communications Centre in North Battleford, before setting off to Melfort to face the Mustangs Saturday.

Both games will be available on the NAPA Auto Parts North Stars Hockey Broadcast on 1050 CJNB. The Ultra Print Pregame Show will begin both nights at 7 p.m., with puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
