North Battleford business robbed at gunpoint

A store employee was injured during an armed robbery in North Battleford Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at a business on 107 St. just after 3:30 p.m., a man and woman entered the business, picked up several items, and headed to the checkout.

Police say there was a verbal exchange with an employee before the woman produced a handgun and struck the employee in the head. Both suspects fled the area on foot with some merchandise from the store.

RCMP believe they headed north and removed some of their clothing along the way. RCMP describes the injuries to the employee as minor. The matter remains under investigation.
