Accused in Damian Moosomin homicide case now set for trial
One of the accused individuals in the Damian Moosomin homicide investigation will now be heading to trial.
A preliminary hearing for Stormy Wapass-Semaganis, 24, of Edmonton, Alta., wrapped up on Monday at North Battleford provincial court.
She was facing a charge of first-degree murder in the case.
Following the preliminary inquiry, the Crown confirmed that the Crown prosecutor and Defence lawyer agreed in a consent committal that Wapass-Semaganis would instead stand trial on the lesser charge of manslaughter.
