BUH Foundation announces plans for 2022 Festival of Trees

The theme for the 28th annual Festival of Trees will be “A Royal Christmas”. The festival will run from Friday, Nov. 25 to Friday, Dec. 2 at the Western Development Museum.

Proceeds from this year’s festival will be used to purchase a ceiling lift tracking system for the palliative department at Battlefords Union Hospital. The lift system will make it safer and result in less suffering for patients.

The BUH Foundation is thrilled to be partnering again with Gold Eagle Casino as the diamond sponsor for the festival. This year marks the 12th year the casino has been the sponsor.

In a media release, BUH Foundation’s Executive Director Leanne Ducommun says community support helps to improve the quality of care patients receive at the hospital.

“As we make our way into the holiday season, we would like to take this time to say how grateful we are to each and every one of our sponsors, volunteers and community. Your support ensures that you, your family, neighbors and friends have access to the best care, as close to home as possible,” Ducommun said.

The festival will kick off on Friday, Nov. 25 with a VIP/Opening night. After the opening, there will be special themes for other days.

• Tuesday, Nov. 29 – Senior’s Day
• Wednesday, Nov. 30 – Cocktails & Creations
• Friday, Dec. 2 – Black Tie Bingo
