Improvements to Territorial Drive by Discovery Co-op Mall are still underway and the city hopes to have the project wrapped up in the next couple of weeks. The area has been under construction since around the middle of September.

The work for the project includes changes to lane layouts, curbing, paving, and accessibility improvements for the Territorial Drive/100 Street (Highway 4) intersection.

In a media release, city planner Ryan Mackrell said they hope to wrap up soon if Mother Nature cooperates.

“The project should be completed within the next two weeks, barring any major weather events which could hinder progress of crews on the ground,” he said.

The availability of SaskPower crews may impact the completion date too. Their crews will complete the necessary work ahead of the installation of traffic signals at the entrance to Discovery Co-op Mall and Sobey’s/Tim Hortons businesses. The city notes that business access during the construction should not be impacted.

Drivers can expect lane closures to continue along Territorial Drive over the last weeks of construction. The city asks motorists to approach the area with caution to keep everyone safe.
