RCMP investigation blocks Highway 16 at Maymont

Saskatchewan RCMP blocked eastbound lanes of Highway 16 on Sunday morning as part of an investigation.
The closure began at Maymont with detours taking drivers along a grid road and through the community.
While the RCMP did not specify what type of investigation was underway in its statement at 10:15 a.m. it explained there was no risk to public safety.
Maymont is located about 50 kilometres southeast of North Battleford.
