Battlefords RCMP has released a disturbing video of an assault and robbery attempt that occurred last Friday.

Police said a man, with a knife, approached a woman in an alley near 22 Street in Battlefords. The woman was able to fight off the assailant and he fled on a bicycle.

In the video released by RCMP, a man with a knife can be seen trying to attack a woman. There is a brief altercation but the woman is able to get away before the suspect flees in the other direction. Police said the woman suffered minor injuries.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing dark pants and a light shirt.
