7th Annual ‘Ears and Beers’ Fundraiser coming to Battleford

Sep 8, 2022 | 3:00 PM

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will be holding their 7th Annual Ears and Beers fundraiser next weekend.

Taking place at the Legion Hall in Battleford on Sept. 16, the evening will open with happy hour starting at 4:30 p.m., with dinner to follow from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

As the ‘Ears and Beers’ moniker would suggest, the dinner will include corn on the cob with butter, along with beef on a bun, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, and dainties for dessert, with both beer and non-alcoholic beverages available.

President and CEO of the HOF and Museum, Jane Shury said the event is one they look forward to each year.

“It’s always lots of fun; we have a couple of games we play and there’s raffles and a door prize, so it’s an early-evening event that’s lots of fun for the family and it’s a fundraiser, so it’s always nice to have a good crowd,” she said.

Proceeds raised from the evening will go towards operating costs with the Sask Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, something especially valuable to the organization as they do not receive provincial or federal funding to help with operational costs.

Tickets for the event are $20 and must be purchased in advance no later than Sept. 15. Tickets are available for pick-up at the Sask Baseball Hall of Fame, located at 292-22nd St., Battleford, or by calling (306) 446-1983.
