Community Spirit Group looking for vendors for Fall Festival

Aug 25, 2022 | 5:23 PM

The streets of Battleford will be busy next month when the Fall Festival and Street Fair is back in full swing again.

Hosted by the Battleford Community Spirit Group, the annual event will run Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., downtown on 22nd Street.

Community Spirit Group member Judy Pruden said the organization is still hoping to get more vendors for the event.

“We just started our search, so we are looking for any sort of crafters or artisans that might want to have a table set up there. The cost is $25 for a 10-foot booth.”

Vendors will need to supply their own table, and electricity if required.

As far as food booths go, Pruden said the group already has a few lined up.

“We’re trying not to duplicate any of the booths that are there, or any of the restaurants that are along Main Street,” she added.

The fall festival will also include a few entertainers, with plans for some live music and singing in the afternoon.

Pruden noted the street will be blocked off from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vendors will have until 10:30 a.m. to get set up for the day.

The festival organizers welcome all artisans and home-based businesses that wish to take part in the event. There will also be a classic vehicles show.

People who want to participate in the festival will need to pre-register, as space is limited.

For more information, they can visit the Battleford Community Spirit Group Facebook Page.

The last time the fall festival was held was in 2019, since it was postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Organizers say they are excited to have the festival return again this year.

“We’re hoping to have this be a huge success,” Pruden said.
