Memorial golf fundraiser to benefit JPII Collegiate jr. golf program
Friends, family, and supporters came out to take part in a memorial golf fundraiser Tuesday to remember North Battleford golf enthusiast Claudette Whyte, who passed away from cancer last year.
The tournament held at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club sold out with 120 golfers taking part, and 130 for dinner, which included 10 of Claudette’s family members, including her daughter Renee, two of her sons, Ryan and Kevin, and her husband Doug. Her eldest son, David, was unable to attend.
The $1,950 in funds raised from the event will benefit the John Paul II Collegiate junior golf teams, to help with mentoring, lessons, and possible travel opportunities.
Jennifer Whyte, Claudette Whyte’s daughter-in-law, helped organize the event.
