Tax notices sent in North Battleford
The City of North Battleford is reminding residents that property tax notices were sent out last week.
Owners for all properties in the city were mailed via Canada Post on July 26–27. This came just after city council adjusted the Mill Rate Factors and Municipal Tax Rates for this year during a special meeting on July 25, which includes a reduction of 2.28 per cent for commercial and industrial class properties.
Any owners who didn’t receive a notice by the end of July 29 are asked to contact the city’s tax clerk.
The deadline for paying property taxes is Aug. 31, where outstanding accounts are charged 1.8 per cent interest per month. Accounts outstanding by Jan. 1 will be charged 10 per cent of the total amount the account faces, with an additional one per cent penalty every month until it is paid in full.
