Pop-up spray park offers relief from heat in North Battleford

The City of North Battleford Fire Department is helping families to beat the heat Friday afternoon, with a pop-up spray park.

Taking place at Connaught Elementary School in downtown North Battleford, the event will run from 2-4 p.m. and is free to attend.

Public relations coordinator with the city, Candace Toma said it’s been nice to see the word catching on around the community, with a strong turnout of families expected out for some fun in the sun.

“It’s just a nice feel-good initiative taking place with the North Battleford Fire Department and the local youth, and we’ve had a great response on social media from both school divisions so it’s really taking off,” Toma said.

“We’ve had great buy-in from the community, so we’re really excited to get all the youth out there, and just a reminder to make sure parents and guardians keep their youth well hydrated, as even though it’s a spray park it’s still going to be really warm out there.”

Connaught Elementary School is located at 902-107th Street, North Battleford.
