RCMP Report: Break-in suspects found selling stolen goods
Battlefords RCMP arrested two people in North Battleford who were attempting to sell stolen items.
A break and enter was reported at a residence on Foley Drive on July 6. The following day, police located the suspects while they were attempting to sell the stolen goods and arrested them. The pair were on conditions not to be in each other’s company due to previous break and enter charges.
“They weren’t supposed to be together or [commit further offences],” Sgt. Neil Tremblay said. “That’s why they were held in custody.”
Both 29-year-old Desery Johnson and 37-year-old Travis Wright were held in custody and charged with possession of stolen property and trafficking in stolen property. Johnson faces an additional count of possession, along with theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with release conditions. Wright was also charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of break and enter tools.
