Canada Day fireworks show will be back to normal for city
The City of North Battleford is getting ready for its big fireworks display to recognize Canada Day this year.
This is the first year the city will be able to hold the show without COVID-19 restrictions since 2019. Parks and Recreation Director Cheryl DeNeire gave an update on what to expect during this week’s city council meeting, as the fireworks display will start on King Hill after dusk on Friday, July 1.
People are invited to park at the Don Ross Centre parking lot and anywhere else they would usually park in the past. They can also view the show from the bridge. The city is also recommending people see the spectacle from along Railway Avenue as another option, while drivers are reminded not to block traffic wherever they park.
DeNeire said the city’s Community Safety Officers (CSOs) will monitor the event for everyone’s safety.
