Saskatchewan RCMP issued a public safety alert after shots were fired at police at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday.

RCMP said they are looking for two men with handguns, one described as short, with dark hair with sides shaved, wearing dark pants and a dark shirt with gold patterns down sleeves and dark runners. Last seen on foot in the area of Far Reserve Road in Air Ronge. Possible sighting going north on Number 2 Highway. Police also attached a photo in their release.

Their description on the second suspect is unknown, but is believed to be in house 136 on Far Reserve Road in Air Ronge.

Police advised the public to avoid the area, find a secure location if you live in the area, avoid picking up hitchhikers, and to not report police’s specific locations on social media.
