The temperature’s rising: Heat warnings issued for areas of Saskatchewan
Areas of southwestern Saskatchewan are under a heat warning.
Environment Canada issued the warning Thursday afternoon for areas around Swift Current, Shaunavon, Moose Jaw, Pense, The Battlefords, Gravelbourg, Assiniboia and Watrous.
According to the advisory, a heat wave is expected to hit most of western Saskatchewan on Friday afternoon.
“Temperatures will be in the low 30s on Friday and continue to increase on Saturday,” the alert read. “Humidex values will approach the 40-degree mark Saturday afternoon.
