Minister of Education to visit JP II on Friday

Jun 13, 2022 | 10:59 AM

Education Minister Dustin Duncan will attend John Paul II Collegiate High School (JP II) on Friday.

Legislative Assembly members Jeremy Cockrill and Ryan Domotor will also be in attendance, where they will go over the upcoming $11.5 million renovation project at the catholic high school. Duncan will also field questions on updates regarding the project.

The renovation, part of the province’s two-year capital plan to stimulate post-pandemic economic recovery, is focused on the servery and industrial areas, along with upgrades to washrooms, common area floors and other existing spaces.

“In addition to ensuring even greater safety and accessibility, this renovation will allow us to continue to provide for cutting edge learning opportunities that ensure students have the necessary skills for future success,” Light of Christ Catholic Schools board chair Glen Gantefoer said back in 2020.
