Highway construction begins in the Battlefords, Meadow Lake
Motorists are going to have to get used to slowing down near the Battlefords and Meadow Lake.
The Government of Saskatchewan is undergoing capital projects that covers an investment of $453 million, including twinning Highway 3 and completing more than a few passing lanes on other highways. There’s also several paving projects beginning this weekend in the northwest.
The largest local project is paving on Highway 4, north of North Battleford. This will cover roughly 12 km of the road.
East of Meadow Lake on Highway 55, seal coating is underway. This is part of a $9.2 million project scheduled to take place from May 11–22 on various sections of highway in Saskatchewan.
