Service with a smile is on the menu Wednesday at McDonald’s locations in North Battleford and across the country for McHappy Day.

Today, 10 per cent of all sales will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities in the province, along with 100 per cent of proceeds from McHappy Day merchandise sold, including hats, socks and donation hearts.

With 34 programs across Canada, Ronald McDonald House Charities provide families with a sick child a home to stay at where they can sleep, share meals, do laundry, and connect with other families.

General manager at North Battleford’s Territorial Drive McDonald’s location, Echo Ablanida said McHappy Day is an event they have circled on the calendar, and look forward to each year.

“McHappy Day’s the biggest day for us at McDonald’s, because we celebrate this day for our Ronald McDonald House Charity which helps sick kids during their hard times to be with their family together,” he said. “These contributions help build more Ronald McDonald House(s) to accommodate more families and help more people during their hard times.”
