The St. Walburg Saints will compete at the Saskatchewan girls basketball 3A Hoopla championship in Indian Head after dominating their regional championship.

Ranked third in the province, the Saints hosted the two-day tournament and dominated from the first quarter. In the semi-final, the hosts shellacked Dalmeny 80-36, then in the gold medal game, they defeated sixth seed Lanigan 76-50.

In addition to hosting playoff action for their fans, the school was able to show off a recently designed new scorer’s table done by students.

On Friday, they will face the Unity Composite Warriors in the provincial semi-final, the second ranked team in the province. Unity was similarly dominant in their own regional, which saw both girls and boys win at home and book their second straight provincial ticket.

Game times and live stream links will be available on the SHSAA website.
