RCMP looking for individuals responsible for shots fired near Lashburn

Maidstone RCMP are investigating a reported incident of gunfire west of Lashburn, roughly 20 minutes east of Lloydminster.

Around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a call of shots fired at a vehicle travelling on Highway 16. There were no injuries and the vehicle was described to police as being a dark-coloured one-ton truck with three occupants.

Maidstone RCMP continue to work diligently to locate and arrest the individual(s) responsible for the incident.

At this time, police believe this was not a targeted event, but the investigation is ongoing as Maidstone RCMP work to locate and arrest the individual(s) responsible. In the meantime, the detachment is asking all travelers to report any suspicious activity they see on highways and roadways and specifically call in regarding any information on this particular incident.
