Video released of vandalism suspect

Police in the Battlefords are looking for public assistance in identifying and locating a man that vandalized multiple vehicles on Sunday.

Video surveillance captured the suspect damaging parked vans on the 1600 block of 103rd Street between 4:45–5:00 a.m. that morning.

Sgt. Neil Tremblay said the victims didn’t appear to know who the man was.

“There’s no indication of why this occurred and nobody internally has been able to identify him,” he said. “He caused fairly significant damage.”

As the investigation continues, Tremblay said they are showing footage of the suspect breaking the windows to the public In order to help expedite an arrest and charges.

“We’re hoping it can jog someone’s memory, it’s fairly decent quality,” he said.

Anyone who recognizes the male suspect or has other information on the incident is urged to call the Battlefords RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
